Existing Products (Magazines)

We have to design a TV Listings magazine cover, we are doing this using Photoshop. I have looked at existing magazines for inspiration and awareness of their codes and conventions.

The generic TV listings magazine consists of bold titles, colours and pictures. The name of the magazine title is often bright and bold yet not a huge part of the display.



A feature of such magazine are bold titles and colour-schemes. Yellows, reds and blues are colours which often feature together.

Such magazines are sold cheap and advertise this as a prominent  feature to try and outsell their multiple competitors.










Stories and images of interest are often outlined with a white glow to divert the eye of the reader.
